1865 Scottish tax document
1865 Scottish tax document on the estate of John Brown, "Sometime Spirit Merchant in Blairgowrie." Brown's estate is tabulated in detail amounting to 4404 pounds. His heirs were assessed a "Legacy Duty" of 132 pounds. Has an embossed "Legacy and Succession Duty" stamp.

This document is a Writ for the attachment of the "Goods, Chattels, or Estate" of one GEORGE LANGLEY of Rutland, Vermont. Newcastle Upon Tyne 1784
Attorney archive of a case involving the bankruptcy proceedings against William Milbourn of Newcastle Upon Tyne, a Plumber and Dealer, dated 1784.
The archive which is tied together at top is filled with memorandums, deposition notices, bond, and London Gazette with advertisement of bankruptcy. Overall 40 leaves consissting of numerous documents with many signatures. Most of the deposition notices take place at the home of "Mr William Loftus known by the sign of the White Hart".
Also a related vellum deed dated 1784, nicely penned of His Majesty's Bankrutcy Commissioners of Newcastle Upon Tyne, William Wislon , Ralph Heron , and Lancelot Heron, next to their red wax seals.
