Promissory bond for the "full Sum of 60 Pounds Currant Lawful Money of New York" from Jonas Davis of Brookhaven, Long Island, New York to Joseph Davis, also of Brookhaven. Witnessed by Israel Mills and George Punderson. Dated July 6, 1791. This bond was obviously paid, as the signature of Davis has been cut out, making the obligation unenforceable. The reverse is docketed for interest payments in 1793.
