11th Veteran Reserve Corps 1864
Union Civil War officer's letter dated Headquarters, Company "F," 11th Veteran Reserve Corps, Point Lookout, Maryland, Oct 25 1864, from 2nd Lieut Bargillai J. Inman, to his friend Charles "Charley" Rouse. The content reads, in part, as follows: "Hush woman, hush. Oh: I forgot myself ... I have the honor herewith to transmit to you not muchery. Oh, I am it Charley, I don't know how to write anymore. Notwithstanding, nevertheless, bu,t however, there it goes again. By the eternal your ring. Ah. I got it at least. Now Charley, you will please accept this token of friendship from your esteemed friend and well wisher. I hope it will not be long before you come and see us. Please remember me to Mrs. & Mr. Doyle and I will send a token to Mrs. I. before a great while, also go around to Stokes and drink my health. Tell Stokes I have not forgot him yet. My respects to ... all enquiring friends, and here is that your shadow may never grow less, Old Boy ... [signed] B. J. Inman, 2d Lt. Comdg Co.

Civil War, Captain George T Woodson
Civil War printed document dated Washington, January 13, 1863. This is a General Orders, No. 12. The document says that by direction of the President, Captain George T Woodson of the 16th U.S. Infantry is hereby dismissed from the service of the United States. On the back there is some writing that says, General Order No. 12. War Dept.

Massachusetts Civil War Document William Scott
Civil War document at the top it says, "Certificate To Be Given To Volunteers At The Time Of Their Discharge To Enable Them To Receive Their Pay,&c." Right below it says William Scott of the 21st Regiment of the State of Massachusetts born in Worcester, 18 years old, 5 feet 11 inches with blue eyes, brown hair, by occupation a carpenter is entitled to a discharge. At the bottom it is dated April 25, 1862, by Command of Gen Wadsworth.

John R. Atwater Civil War Document
Civil War document written, August 13, 1863 the camp of the 15th Connecticut Voluteer Regiment was located at Portsmouth, Virginia. The purpose of the document was to make an installment payment of 10 dollars due to John R. Atwater on a bounty of a $100.00 that was promised him from the state of Connecticut as an incentive to enlist in company 'K' of the 15th Connecticut volunteer regiment. The voucher is signed by Atwater and his commanding officer Henry H. Stiles.

Montgomery County, Pennsylvania 1863
Document from Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, dated Sept. 4, 1863, in which Daniel B. Bergey of Company L. 17th Pennsylvania Cavalry, of Lower Salford, gives Michael B. Bergey power of attorney to collect fifty dollars for him from the county as a bounty for volunteer enlistments made the previous year. Signed on the first page by Daniel B. Bergey, witnessed by two others.

1901 Letter from Gardiner in Michigan to Civil War Vet Hayward in Nebraska
Letter from a land speculator CHRIS W GARDINER dated June 18, 1901 at Evart Michigan. The letter is to a J. M. HAYWARD concerning a land grant to civil war union veterans. The land in question was 80 acres in Seward County, Nebraska that Haywood made a homestead claim upon. The letter goes on to mention that as a veteran he may be
entitled to another 80 acres. The writer goes on to say that he would like to buy the land if available. On the bottom of the letter is the following note. "Miss Anna Hayward married to Willie L Mull, 1883 Terre Haute, Indiana
